Starting School at Cranford Park

Thank you for considering our school for your child. Choosing the right school for your child is probably one of the most important decisions you will ever make. Undoubtedly, one of the best ways to get to know a school is to visit in person. There is nothing like seeing a school first-hand, observing the children enjoying their learning, seeing the facilities and meeting the staff. It also provides you with the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Perhaps you have already selected Cranford Park for your child, in which case, congratulations on making a fantastic choice to support your child's primary education! We look forward to helping your child to let their light shine!

On this page you will find a range of documents, resources and information to support your child’s start at Cranford Park CE Primary School .

Shortly after you find out that you have been successful in gaining a place for your child at our school, you will receive a letter inviting you to a parent induction evening. We then have four opportunities in the summer term for your child to 'stay and play' in school, along with some of our Reception children and their new classmates. Through these sessions, we allow your child to experience each part of the school day, including a lunchtime session, where you are welcome to join your child for a school meal. The dates and times of these sessions will be given to you at our Induction Evening along with a pack of useful information.

Mrs Garrett and her team will also be visiting your child in their Early Years setting and speaking to the staff there in order to allow for the smoothest transition. You are also welcome to speak with any of us prior to your child starting school. Our headteacher and SENCo will be available during your child's transition sessions, when you will also be able to meet and chat to your classmates' parents over some refreshments.

We hope the documents below will be of use to you. Please do contact the school if there is any further information you require.
