Mental Health and Wellbeing

At Cranford Park C of E Primary School, we recognise the importance of good mental health and wellbeing for our whole school community. We are a nurturing team who cloak our children in care and who go the extra mile to get it right for each and every one of them.

We pride ourselves on our approach to good mental health for life. Our inclusion lead, Miss Rebecca Portch, is a trained senior mental health leader and is responsible for driving our approach to wellbeing.

Many of the activities in our curriculum are designed to support wellbeing. These include a behaviour teaching programme, which include attitudes such as resilience, gratitude, seeking help and positivity, our weekly Forest School and University of Cranford Park activities and a progression of mindfulness techniques. In addition, we are constantly looking for ways to make school fun, with the aim of bringing ‘joy’ to the hearts of our children.

Please see our Mental Health and Wellbeing Policy on our policies page for more details.
